First Day Issue's 100th Post and the Ultimate Ken Griffey Jr. Card: Prepare to be Dazzled.

It only took about a year but First Day Issue has finally reached it's 100th post. I appreciate all the followers of this blog and want to thank everyone who has taken the time to read my posts and comment on them; it means a lot to me.

I realize that I am not the most funny/creative/prolific blogger, but that's what is so great about baseball card blogs---everyone has their own niche to fill and we all benefit from those differences. I started this blog as a way to share my passion for a great hobby and my love of baseball cards has grown exponentially through the generosity and knowledge of other bloggers.

Thanks once again to all the great people in the baseball card blogosphere that have traded with me and helped my Ken Griffey Jr. collection soar to heights I never thought it would. There's nothing better than coming home from a hard day at work and finding a package of cards that someone spent their time and money to create for you; we really have a great community here, and I feel fortunate to be a part of it. Thank you.

My Heart Just Stopped...

It's already at $600 with almost 10 days left so it's just a wee bit out of my price range. If any of my loyal readers feels so inclined and wants to purchase this beauty for me, I would agree to name my first born child after them as well as autographing any item of their choice (perhaps my game-used high school baseball cap?) This card is going to sell for more than my car is worth.

There are so many incredible Griffeys in Ultimate Collection that my brain might explode. I'm trying to sell some cards in order to pool enough money for a different patch, but it won't be easy.
